Markup vs Margin Calculator
Enter your cost price and choose whether you're thinking in Markup % or Margin % .
Both are shown simultaneously so you never confuse them again.
What's the difference?
Markup % = (Profit ÷ Cost) × 100 — percentage over cost .
Margin % = (Profit ÷ Selling Price) × 100 — percentage of revenue .
Example: Cost ₹100, Sell ₹125 → Markup = 25%, but Margin = 20%.
They are never equal (unless profit is 0). Confusing them leads to underpricing!
