Privacy Policy

Your privacy is our foundation. We're committed to protecting your data.

1. Overview

Welcome to QuikInvo ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you visit our website or use our invoice generation, payroll, and financial tools.

We built QuikInvo with privacy at its core. Our invoice editor, GST calculator, and payroll tools are designed so that your business data never touches our servers.

Our Core Privacy Commitment: All invoice data, client details, billing amounts, and payroll figures you enter are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage. This information is never transmitted to, processed by, or stored on QuikInvo servers.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Registration Data (Server-Stored)

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Full name — for account identification and correspondence
  • Email address — for login, account recovery, and service notifications
  • Password — stored as a one-way cryptographic hash (we cannot read your password)
  • Plan information — whether you are on the Free or Pro tier

We do not collect your phone number, postal address, date of birth, or payment card details during registration.

2.2 Invoice and Business Data (Browser-Stored Only)

All invoice content — including client names, billing addresses, line items, GST amounts, and payroll data — is stored entirely within your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to download or print it.

2.3 Usage and Analytics Data

To improve our platform, we may automatically collect limited technical information including pages visited, browser type, approximate geographic region, and session duration. This data is aggregated and anonymised and does not include the content of your invoices.

2.4 Contact Form Submissions

When you submit a message through our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content solely to respond to your inquiry.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes only:

  • Providing and operating the service — processing logins, managing Pro subscriptions, and enabling file downloads
  • Security and fraud prevention — detecting unusual login patterns
  • Service communications — sending transactional emails such as account confirmations and subscription receipts
  • Platform improvement — understanding which features are most used to guide product development
  • Customer support — responding to questions and resolving technical issues

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for advertising or commercial purposes.

4. Local Storage & Invoice Data

QuikInvo's invoice editor operates on a local-first architecture. All invoice content is saved to your browser's localStorage — a standard browser feature that keeps data on your device, not on external servers.

  • Your invoice data is private by default — no breach of our servers can expose your client or billing information
  • Data is tied to the specific browser and device you used
  • Clearing browser data or site data will delete locally stored invoices permanently
Tip: If you use the Pro plan, you can download your completed invoice as an Excel file for permanent offline backup. The downloaded file is stored on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.

5. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited personal data we do store:

  • Password hashing — passwords are processed with one-way cryptographic hashing; we cannot view your password in plaintext
  • HTTPS encryption — all data in transit between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS
  • Access controls — production databases are accessible only to authorised personnel
  • Regular security reviews — we periodically audit our codebase and infrastructure for vulnerabilities

6. Third-Party Services

Our platform uses a limited number of third-party services:

  • Payment processing — Pro plan upgrades are handled by a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. We do not store or process your payment card details directly.
  • Content delivery networks (CDNs) — CSS and JavaScript libraries are loaded from public CDNs that may log your IP address as part of standard request logging.
  • Email service provider — transactional emails are sent through a third-party email delivery service.

We do not share your personal data with social media platforms, advertising networks, data brokers, or marketing agencies.

7. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use a minimal set of cookies necessary to operate the service:

  • Session cookies — used to keep you logged in during a browsing session; they expire when you close your browser
  • Authentication cookies — used when you select "Remember me" at login; these persist for up to 30 days

We do not use third-party advertising cookies, Facebook Pixel, Google Ads conversion tags, or cross-site tracking technologies.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to erasure — request deletion of your account and associated personal data
  • Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Right to object — object to processing of your data in certain circumstances

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us through our Contact page. We will respond to all legitimate requests within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

QuikInvo is a B2B tool designed for adults operating businesses. Our service is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date, display a notice on our homepage, and send an email notification to registered users if the changes materially affect how we process their personal data.

11. Contact Us

If you have questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please reach out through our Contact page. We take privacy inquiries seriously and will respond within 3–5 business days.

For account deletion or data export requests, please include your registered email address and the nature of your request so we can verify your identity.
